Donnie Kehr to Perform at Benefit on 8/27
August 20th, 2006BroadwayWorld.com reports that Jersey Boys’ Donnie Kehr will perform at the “Songs for Soraya ” benefit on August 27 at 8PM in New York City’s Cutting Room, 19 West 24th Street.
Soyara is the niece of current Rent cast member Luther Creek. She has been bravely battling a pediatric brain tumor for the last year. “Songs for Soraya” is being presented to raise much-needed funds for the family’s mounting medical bills, to support Luther, and to celebrate Soraya’s life.
In addition to Kehr, members of cast of Broadway’s Rent, The Wedding Singer, Avenue Q, Wicked, and Tarzan will also be appearing at the benefit.
Tickets are available at the door only and will be priced at $25, cash only. The evening will feature songs as well as raffles and auctions to raise money for Soraya’s family. For more information, visit www.myspace.com/songsforsoraya.
