Due to Wildfires, Tonight’s San Diego JB Performance Canceled

October 23rd, 2007

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 23 (UPI) — Tuesday’s performance of the musical Jersey Boys at the San Diego Civic Theatre was canceled due to the wildfires raging in Southern California.

“The safety and security of our patrons is of paramount importance and we do not wish to imperil anyone. In addition, we are concerned with the air quality and do not wish to put further burden on the already strained power grid,” representatives for the show said in a statement.

Patrons holding tickets for the Oct. 23 performance should return to the point of purchase for exchange for another performance or a refund, they said.

In addition, patrons who have been displaced by the fires and who are holding tickets to other performances may also exchange them at their point of purchase.

Remaining performances of Jersey Boys are expected to go on as scheduled.

  1. At last night’s performance in San Diego of Jersey Boys the cast announced that BROADWAY CARES/EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS will give half of everything that they make from their show, during their entire stay, to the San Diego Chapter of the American Red Cross in order to help those in need, due to the recent fires.
