Frankie Valli 1974 Radio Interview

July 28th, 2007

GILG’s Radio Gazette has just posted an in-depth Frankie Valli radio interview that was recorded in Philadelphia in 1974. Frankie talks about the early days before he, Bob, Tommy, and Nick became the Four Seasons; working in the studio with Bob Crewe; the Four Seasons’ string of hits and their evolving “sound”; and quite a few other surprises.

  1. A really nice piece of nostalgia! Interesting that it portends the second coming of Frankie Valli and the Seasons and their sudden reappearance at the upper reaches of the hit music charts in the mid-seventies. Certainly a highly recommended listen. Thanks for the post, Susie and Dale! And also to Frank Ravello and the GILG website.

  2. I love the sound of the four Seasons. I have been singing Frankie Valli since 1965 in Queens NY. I’m now doing impersonations of him in San Jose these past 35 years, and around the region because of the Jersey Boys. I was a just another Legend impersonator, but when Jersey boys came out I was very thankful.

Best to the Best Mr. Valli
