Friday Flashback: The Four Seasons’ 1965 Appearance on ‘Hullabaloo’!

April 15th, 2011

A medley of hits from The Four Seasons is a great way to start a Friday, isn’t it? And, for another treat, this video includes Herman’s Hermits’ rendition of “Silhouettes” (co-written by Bob Crewe)!

  1. The Four Seasons did return in the next segment that Trini Lopez referred to at the end of the clip – songs from the top LPs. The Four Seasons sang the old Bobby Freeman tune “Do You Wanna Dance” from the “Dawn” album. The Four Seasons also were part of the grand finale where all the artists sang “With a Little Bit of Luck” from “My Fair Lady” in some solo parts and in unison. where Frankie’s voice could be heard above all others. In addition to Peter Noone, there was Freddy of Freddy and the Dreamers (“I’m Telling You Now”) and Vicki Carr. Hopefully that segment of the show will get posted on You Tube.

  3. I am always in awe of the range in Frankie’s voice when I see them perform a medley like this. Just amazing.

  4. This is the medley where Frankie mis-times his entry on Toy Soldier, coming in early, but he covers it up nicely. He does get a few ‘smirks’ from the other guys.
