Howell Binkley Is Xanadu’s Lighting Designer
March 9th, 2007Broadway.com reports that Jersey Boys Tony Award-winning lighting designer Howell Binkley will be the lighting designer for the upcoming Broadway musical Xanadu!
Broadway veteran Tony Roberts is set to join previously announced star Kerry Butler as Danny in Broadway’s upcoming tuner. The musical starts previews on May 23 and will open at the Helen Hayes Theatre on June 26 under the direction of Christopher Ashley.
In addition to Howell Binkley, the creative team for Xanadu includes choreographer Dan Knechtges (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee); Tony-winning set designer David Gallo (The Drowsy Chaperone).
