JBB Poll: Who Would You Like to See Play Gyp DeCarlo in the Movie Version of Jersey Boys?

June 14th, 2011

According to Billboard.com: “Jersey Boys,” the musical about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, is aiming for a fall 2013 release from GK Films. Producer Graham King calls it “a passion project, something I pursued stronger than anything else in my career.”

King states he has seen the “Jersey Boys” musical more than 20 times in at least five different cities. “It’s pure entertainment,” he says. “We have to capture the essence of the musical but tell the story slightly differently. This is ‘Goodfellas’ with good music.”

With so many amazing JERSEY BOYS’ characters, we thought we’d get started early to see who would be in your dream cast in the film version. Let’s start with Gyp DeCarlo!

  3. Wouldn’t that be an intriguing human interest angle to have loyal JB fans as extras! Have Gyp get ‘casting’ on the phone!

  4. I would like to see Peter Mele play the role of Gyp De Carlo in Jersey Boys. Mele is right up there with DeNiro, Pacino and can deliver the goods as Gyp.
