  4. Wow–yeah, Tim, it’ll be great to catch up a bit. Please tell me you’ve been to “The Original Pantry” on 9th and Figueroa in LA as per our chat in August. Finally figured out what “many the miles” refers to–your perfect trip out to the tune of Little Peggy March’s “I Will Follow Her” and then the two of you depart on the O’Jays’ “Love Train”!! See you Sunday.

  5. I’ve heard there is a waiting list. So, one can’t get a ticket at the door, I’m assuming?

  6. Howard, FYI – I will be going to “The Original Pantry” tonight here in LA. I will tell you my experience when I see you at my Wifes Cabaret. See ya Sunday… Tim

  7. That’s wonderful, Tim. Hope I’m not too late to ask you to bring back one of those 100-fat-gram steaks …maybe we can have Kenny (maitre’d at the Laurie Beechman) serve it at our celebration of Jen’s performance. Our cheering will more than burn off those extra calories!

But first things first, Tim–safe travels–LA to NY is the easy part–the front door of the Pantry to its fenced-in lot is more of a challenge! See you on Sunday, my friend.

  8. Jennifer, this was such a wonderful evening, I don’t even know where to begin. You warmly greeted everyone both before and after the show and had so much incredible support, from the entire Jersey Boys cast (including Tituss Burgess and Rick Elice) to an incredible fan base (Pamela, Jody and Jen, Beverley and Jen, David, Gary, Noreen and John, Courtney, Dee and Joe) to Tim and your wonderful cheering and beautiful family.

It almost seemed as if your set was tailored exclusively to me growing up in the 50′s, 60′s and 70′s. Your “Leader of the Pack” put the Shangri-La’s to shame, and the coreography on David Cassidy’s “I Think I Love You” was second to none.

One of my very favorite singers in college (although I couldn’t admit it then) was Helen Reddy, and a song we never hear much any more was her #1 smash “Angie Baby.” Well, we heard such a haunting version from you tonight that I began getting goose bumps.

Your tributes to Karen Carpenter (“Top of the World”), Anne Murray (“You Needed Me”) and Barbra Streisand were spot-on. And your trademark “Movin’ On Up” had us all clapping and cheering with George and Weezie in mind. “Many the Miles” was very sweet as was the song about the couple falling in love and passing within a few days of each other in their 90′s. And best of all, Rosie Clooney’s “Come-on-a-My House” took me back to the “Hit Parade”. What a nice tribute to Bob Crewe on his 76th birthday with his “Lady Marmalade!” Your prolonged standing ovation was well-deserved.

And one last comment a bit off the subject, Jen–Kenny of the Laurie Beechman allowed us all to stay as long as we wished after the show to speak with and mingle with you and your beaming Tim, the other fans, and the rest of the Jersey Boys cast, who were all so proud of you: JLY, Travis, Michael, Tituss, Dom, Heather, Erica, Daniel, Peter and Rick (hope I didn’t miss anyone). Please thank him on everyone’s behalf.

You made a lasting memory for all of us tonight, Jen. Thank you.
