Jersey Boys 2nd Natl Tour Sensational in Seattle!
April 9th, 2013The JERSEY BOYS second national tour company is playing Seattle at the 5th Avenue Theatre through May 4 and is receiving awesome reviews! Check out sneak peeks of two recently-posted raves! Pat Jenkins, DispatchNews.com: The singing is superb, led by Brad Weinstock as Valli (Weinstock will take the matinees off; even a voice like his needs rest). The packed house at the April 6 performance seemingly was transfixed by the music, applauding and cheering after virtually each number and giving a standing ovation after the closing scene. It’s hard to imagine any lesser of a response for the shows that are still to come.
John Hartl, SeattleTimes.com: Still, it’s up to the cast, especially the actor assigned to playing Valli, to simulate their sound, capture their pre-MTV dance moves and suggest the illusion of three-dimensional characters. The current cast, led by Brad Weinstock’s sensational impersonation of Valli, deserves the standing ovation it received on opening night.
