Jersey Boys Breaks Box Office House Record in Chicago!

October 23rd, 2007

Can it get any better than this? Not only did Jersey Boys on Broadway break the house record at the August Wilson Theatre last week, but the Chicago engagement broke the house record at the LaSalle Bank Theatre! The show grossed $1,120,920.90, breaking the house record which was previously held by the world-premiere of Monty Python’s Spamalot in Spring 2005.

  1. Fantastic news! I am a true believer that Jersey Boys is indeed “lightning in a bottle” and everyone should “catch it!” when it hits near your city.

For that matter, every major metropolis should book them:) Now, I think the back-to-back box office records being broken (New York and Chicago)plus the recent record breaking box office receipts in Tempe and San Diego is a … sign. Congratulations to the Jersey Boys Team!!

  2. Just got the Jersey Boys book – LOVE IT! If you love the show (and how couldn’t you?) then you’ve gotta get the book. Can’t wait to see it again!

  3. Congratulations to JB! They’re breaking records everywhere, in Broadway, SF, LA, Tempe, Chicago! A friend of mine in London can’t wait to see the show when it hits the West End.
On an LA radio station this morning, some of the DJs had mentioned that JB will sell out when they come to Costa Mesa in a few weeks. Which I’m planning to watch it again in Costa Mesa!

  4. Can’t wait to see Steven M Goldsmith play Frankie again as opposed to his usual role as Joe Pesci—cause this kid rocked the house in San Fran., CA — Have no doubt his performance in Chicago will blow you away too, since his portrayal of the character Frankie Valli is incredibly genuine — you don’t think he’s acting, because he’s so real — and his voice at least parallels that of Frankie, so much so, that it’s absolutely uncanny — what a talent — not to mention his Italian looks — everyone is in for a treat!
