Jersey Boys Cast Recording Slips to No. 2 on Chart
November 8th, 2007Following a six-week reign in the Number One position, Jersey Boys Original Cast Recording drops to Number Two on the Billboard Top Cast Albums chart, according to Playbill.com. The six weeks at the top of the chart for JB marked the longest stretch by a recording other than constant chart-topper, Decca Broadway’s Wicked. The musical based on the Four Seasons had previously enjoyed a four-week run at No. 1 following its Tony win as Best Musical and also reclaimed the countdown’s lead position the week of February 8. This week marks the 95th consecutive week that the Rhino recording has remained on the chart.
