Robin Leach reports that tomorrow, JERSEY BOYS celebrates its eighth anniversary on the Las Vegas Strip, it also will mark the 3,165th performance — and not only is it still going strong, but it also is better, bolder and brassier than ever. Check out a preview to the Q&A with JB Vegas cast member Travis Cloer!

Robin Leach: Let’s talk about eight years, the longevity of “Jersey Boys.” From performing as Frankie Valli, then as an actor, give me two reasons from two viewpoints as to why this show has been such a success.

Travis Cloer: Well, I think from first the performer’s point-of-view, this has been the most rewarding acting experience I’ve had onstage. Telling this great story and seeing this incredible music night after night that I do. I get offstage, and I’m fulfilled. It’s one of those rare pieces that as an actor, it is truly, truly a joy to do. I think that the entire cast feels that way.

I think that is one of the main reasons why I keep coming back because we’re taking this joy that we’re feeling in doing this show and getting it to the audience each night. That’s infectious, and they just want more of it. I think from an audience’s point-of-view, first and foremost, we have this great catalog of music where the hits just keep coming.

On top of that, this compelling story of this underdog group of guys in one of the roughest parts of the United States at that time, making it to be Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, the multimillionaires before they reach 30 years old. It’s quite a story, and I think audiences can relate to that, and it also has that Las Vegas connection that people enjoy.
