Jersey Boys Hits a Home Run in Philly!

October 6th, 2010

Rave reviews keep popping up online for the JERSEY BOYS national tour production in Philadelphia. Here’s a sneak peek of Bonnie Squires’ fantastic recap:

If you happened to have walked past the Forrest Theatre this past Saturday night and thought they must have been showing a Phillies game because of the cheering and clapping, you would be wrong. It was the audience reaction to the newest production of “Jersey Boys: The Story of Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons.” And the play hits a home run!

In charge of this high-octane, high energy, perfectly delightful entertainment is Tony Award-winning director Des McAnuff. He seems to have the same philosophy that my father used to have: Betty Grable and Fred Astaire movies were the best kind of entertainment. You will definitely leave the Forrest Theatre smiling.
