By the time Frankie gets his horns (you’ll get the reference if you see the show), you realize Valli isn’t just another Italian whose name ends in a vowel. He’s a survivor, able to do the right thing by the guys who brought him.That the four stars can pull off so much (and get the audience to sing along on a string of hits) is a tribute to the music and this production’s excellent craftsmanship.
De Jesus, Seeley, Dailey and Hines may not be names you recognize but they’re able to create a show that you’ll never forget.
Luckily, you have a handful of times to see it this week in Sioux City.
“Jersey Boys” is what all the Broadway at the Orpheum offerings should be – a show that teaches, enlightens and entertains long after the curtain has fallen.
