JERSEY BOYS Melbourne’s Four Seasons: Stephen Mahy (Bob Gaudio), Scott Johnson (Tommy DeVito), Glaston Toft (Nick Massi), and Bobby Fox (Frankie Valli)

The Australian production of JERSEY BOYS begins tonight in Melbourne! In an article in The Age, Robin Usher features an interview with original Jersey Boy Bob Gaudio!

Here’s a sneak peek of Usher’s article:

BOB Gaudio is the composer of the hit musical Jersey Boys, which has been described as an alternative soundtrack to the TV series The Sopranos. Any worries he had about Melbourne’s interest in the show vanished when he arrived and saw headlines about the latest underworld killing.

“People here aren’t going to be strangers to our story,” he said yesterday. Not that he was really worried. The show has been selling out on Broadway for the past four years and won the Tony and Olivier awards for best musical in New York and London.

Jersey Boys opens at the Princess Theatre on July 4.

  1. We saw Jersey Boys on Saturday 25th July at 2.00 pm. Was it Bobby Fox starring on that day and if not, who was it. It just doesn’t look like him…
    Thanks,

  2. BTW, loved the show, laughed, cried and didn’t want it end. Haven’t listened to any other music from that day to this. Still get welled up as it hits ‘Rag Doll’ and I know it’s getting to ‘Who Love You’ and the finale…. could watch it every day, every session until it was no more….
Love you guys… you are great
