Jersey Boys Still Magical in San Diego!

Anne Marie Welsh, Union-Tribune theater critic, reports that the “Boys” and the magic are back, this time at the Civic Theatre in the first national tour of the show that went on to win four 2006 Tony Awards, including best musical. Any worries that time had killed the thrill of this gritty, life-in-music story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons were blown away by the first chords of “Oh What a Night.” She closes by stating that Jersey Boys is deservedly a bona-fide mega-hit and won’t be saying goodbye to American and international stages for a long, long time.   1. I was at opening day matinee with Miles as Gaudio and Courter as Valli (understudies). I can’t see how anyone could play these parts better!!!
