‘Jersey Fans’ Event in San Diego to Benefit BC/EFA!

Playbill.com reports that the cast of the national tour of the Tony-winning musical Jersey Boys will take part in a cocktail party to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Entitled “Jersey Fans: All Access,” the Nov. 5 fundraiser will be held at the Top of the Park Penthouse in San Diego, CA. Attendees will have the chance to mingle and take photos with and acquire autographs from the stars of the Jersey Boys national tour. The two-hour event begins at 6:30 PM.

The Jersey Boys national tour features Erich Bergen as Bob Gaudio, Steve Gouveia as Nick Massi, Christopher Kale Jones as Frankie Valli and Deven May as Tommy Devito. The Broadway company — led by John Lloyd Young as Valli — continues at the August Wilson Theatre.

Tickets, priced $100, are available in the lobby of the Civic Theatre in San Diego, CA (where Jersey Boys now plays) or by calling (212) 840-0770, ext. 268. Jersey Boys plays the Civic through Nov. 11.

The Top of the Park Penthouse is located at 525 Spring Street in San Diego, CA.

  1. WOW!!!Looks like Irene’s idea has reached CA!! Well Irene, this is the start of something big, a trend for sure. Everyone is going to want to have an “OH WHAT A NIGHT”, like we did on the 21st!! Bravo Irene for bringing your idea to BC/EFA and the OBC………..this is just the start!! It was an incredible evening!! My how such great things do catch on!!

  3. Great idea, and hopefully I can make it from Los Angeles to join in the fun. With the fire devastation in San Diego County, I hope that some of the money will also go towards the rebuilding effort.

    ‘Jersey Boys’ musical will share proceeds

    SAN DIEGO: The musical Jersey Boys, playing at the San Diego Civic Theatre through Nov. 11, will donate half the proceeds from a fundraiser taking place at the show to fire victims.

    The remainder of the funds will go to Broadway Cares/Equity Fight AIDS. The show, which has two North County actors in the cast, is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Tickets, from $21 to $127, are available by calling (619) 570-1100. –L.W.B.
