Madcon’s ‘Beggin” on the US Charts with a Bullet!

April 1st, 2009

That’s our song, “Beggin’” Number One in Norway–late 2007 and ’08…Big surprise yesterday, hearing it on the local radio station in town! So, I checked the Billboard charts: #27 with a bullet on the Rhythmic Top 40 Chart and debuting at Number 58 on the Pop 100 Airplay Chart!

  1. Sometimes the world knows a good song when it hears it!

Whether it’s Madcon, The Saturdays, Timebox, Pilooski’s edit or even an Adidas commercial. Beggin’ lives on.

Looks like Gaudio’s pen is still relevant! (with a little help from an Angel)

  2. Too bad this won’t count for the ’00s FV4S decade chart appearance. I think the Pilooski reedit or the Boogie Studios reedits might count if they charted though. As great a song as “Beggin’” is, there are a lot of others that deserve to be covered. I always thought Smash Mouth might be able to do something unique with “Electric Stories”.

  3. Yeah, I agree, Ted. The runway is getting short for Frankie to be the only artist to hit the BB Hot 100 in SIX decades.

But this one looks as if it’s goin’ straight to the top. Barry Belson, are you listening?
