July 2nd, 2007

Check out these marvelous photos of Jersey Boys national tour cast members at the “One Night Only” benefit from several months ago.

Also, visit BroadwayWorld.com for photo coverage of Christopher Kale Jones and his fiance Jenna Coker at the Upright Cabaret’s event from last month.

  1. I’ve never seen those benefit photos before. The date is from a few months ago, but they’re nice. It would be good if they’d do one in LA. The Christopher Kale Jones ones are good, too.

  2. They did the benefit while they were collecting for the BC/EFA Easter Bonnet and the money made was split between BC/EFA and the Richmond/Mamet Foundation, a local organization in San Francisco. They try to have one of these “One Night Only” benefits when ever a touring production comes through the Bay Area. If I remember correctly, the Jersey Boys show was the most sucessful event they had since they’ve been doing them.

  3. They are indeed nice, Lana. Would love to know what John and Miles are doing–they look sort of like the Blues Brothers! And yes, Michael Ingersoll can really sing–that bass gets quite low!!

Chris and Jenna, you are indeed a hugely talented couple and I feel privileged to have met both of you. I join many others in wishing you the best on your upcoming nuptials. I’m wondering if your first dance will be to something not too hard to be rock, yet not too soft to be pop? Maybe even a song that almost didn’t see the light of day, and yet went on to sell 3 million copies? Any chance?

  4. I wonder why those One Night Only photos are being posted here now when they’re that old? Maybe some of that information about who sang what would be remembered by people that went, and it’s too bad they didn’t put ‘em up sooner. I’m still not sure who half these people are, maybe I don’t remember them from seeing the show down here on June 7.

  5. Howard: I was there! :)

John and Miles sang “Bless the Broken Road,” but the setup was just like the scene in the car.

They argued: “This isn’t the Curran Theatre!” “No, it’s the Club Fugazi!” etc etc etc, and then Eric Gutman came out and shrieked at them to “PLAY THE F*CKIN SONG ALREADY!”

The song was very pretty, and the setup was hysterical. You could tell who in the crowd had not seen the show before. ;)
