The multi-talented Sebastian Arcelus ends his run today as Bob Gaudio in JERSEY BOYS Broadway! Sebastian will be leaving the JB production to star as Buddy this holiday season in Elf–The Musical at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
We wanted to send a major shout-out to Sebastian for his phenomenal performances on stage as Bob Gaudio since January, 2008 and an even bigger thank you for supporting JB Blog with his fabulous JBB Exclusive Interview and his amazing welcomes and graciousness at the stage door! Sebastian, you ROCKED on stage and off!!

Best wishes to you, Sebastian. You gave us all great entertainment for the past three years. And I echo Susie’s remark above as to your warmth at the stage door. But perhaps my best memory was one night right before the show as I was having dinner at the Cosmic Diner with three friends. You actually spotted me and came over to say hello! (I’ve become more accustomed to a cast member spotting me, and trying for the clean getaway!)

Sebastian was (from birth to college) a patient of my brother’s (a pediatrician). When Seb first came into the cast, therefore, my whole family was especially excited. That was Jan 2008. I’d seen him in other things and was intimidated, as I tend to be, by so much talent. But we shared a meal and I talked about the real Bob G, and Sebastian was then, and has been to this day, so cool and friendly. And so gifted. I watched his final perf today, and it was a privilege. A very very good man.

Sebastian, Thanks for giving your all as Bob in JB.
I am truly going to miss you!! My memory is the last
time I saw JB over labor day weekend,you apologized to me three times for being a little late to come out to greet your fans, an apology was certaintly not necessary by any means! This told me something that is so important…..you truly appreciate your fans.
Wishing you success in every adventure you take as an actor. I hope you will return to JB one day because in my eyes you portrayed Bob perfectly! Sure you will rock in ELF!!!
