Susan Stapleton of Las Vegas Magazine has a marvelous feature on the two Vallis of JERSEY BOYS Las Vegas–Travis Cloer & Graham Fenton, the two actors who split time in iconic “Frankie Valli” role. Below is a preview:
“It’s a marathon out there,” says Graham Fenton, one of the two actors playing Frankie Valli in the show about the Four Seasons’ 40-year association that catapulted the quartet from four blue-collar guys who were friends in Newark, N.J., to becoming superstars of song just before The Beatles hit the United States.
“This music, and especially Frankie’s voice, is so iconic,” says Travis Cloer, who evenly splits time with Fenton playing the role. “The producers have found they can trust us both with splitting the role. We have some monster shoes to step into. Pretty much from the middle of the first act on, it’s all about Frankie.”

I’m so happy for both Travis and Graham, and even more thrilled they’ve both had and continue to have such lengthy runs. I met them both in NYC on Broadway, and recall my very first meeting with Travis on 4/15/07 for a special performance for the Actors Fund when he had just arrived from Kansas City, where business takes me several times a year! I met Graham about the same time give or take, and I’ve seen them both perform wonderfully on stage…and that’s 6 years ago!! I’ve also seen Travis in cabaret, and so many years later, his take on Elvis’s “If I Can Dream” still plays over and over in my head. So happy for both talented performers!!
