The Original Four Seasons (Tommy DeVito, Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, and Nick Massi)

Cool photo of The Four Seasons in the ’60s! Wonder when and where this was taken?

Interesting how Tommy & Frankie are wearing the same sweater, isn’t it?

  2. Where was this taken? At first I thought, Cooper’s Pond? Then I saw the reflection of the buildings in the water. Central Park? West side of the Hudson River in New Jersey?

  3. Perhaps that’s the moat surrounding Bob’s castle?

  4. I think it’s Bonnicut Bay and clearly by the expression on his face Gaudio was inspired here to write “No Surfing Today”.

  5. Yes Ray, those are indeed some intense waves to surf on. But Bob would legitimately fear the undertow so deep, or as a John Irving novel would call it, the “undertoad”.

  7. There may be a rather well known picture of The Four Seasons that was taken there in that park, Michael. I seem to remember a picture with Cherry Trees blossoming, maybe the same trees that show up when you look for images of Branch Brook Park. But would that have high rise buildings reflected in the water from close by?

  8. Hi Ted and Michael. It is Branch Brook Park. Tommy gave me access to his personal collection of photos. I’m trying to find out what year and who the photographer was. What do you know about this photo shoot? And where did you see the well known photo? This one is from Tommy’s collection that he shared with me.
