Today in Four Seasons Music History, 7/18/1964, Rag Doll Tops the Billboard Hot 100!

Fifty-one years ago today, The Four Seasons topped the Billboard Hot 100 for the fourth time with the phenomenal RAG DOLL!

  1. Still remember “Rag Doll” hitting #1 in the US for 2 straight weeks on 7/18/64. A little later on in the Summer, the Seasons would appear at WARM Day in Scranton Pa.for the first time. These were Free concerts put on by WARM radio at Rocky Glen Park in the Scranton area every summer for a number of years. A number of different groups would play throughout the day before anywhere from 25,000 to 30,000 plus people in the park. The Seasons would always be the final act coming on about 9:00PM. The group appeared about 3 Summers in a row, but this was the first time, complete with Nick Massi on bass.
