It’s terrific to see these guys reflect a year later on that great night. Christian’s name generated so much excitement in the Hall, because while people were rooting for him, his win was an upset. In addition, it began to look as if “The Drowsy Chaperone” might run away with the evening until Christian turned the tide.
I also think both Christian and John are so down-to-earth and appreciative of their fans because both had gone through some tough times before they “hit”, so to speak. I’m certain both will go on to even greater successes, but whatever happens, they’ll both always have these wonderful Tony memories to look back upon with pride. Bravo, guys!

John’s and Christian’s interview exemplified once again their humility and appreciation for the opportunity of a lifetime and for the “ubiquitous” praise and accolades by fans and by the broadway community. They achieved greatness and will continue to grow professionally because of their commitment to doing their best through learning and hard work.
