Cacophony Daniels Returns UNDER THE ‘C’

Tribute to Howard Ashman Celebrates the Lovable Misfit in Us All

New York, NY — On December 2, 2016, Cacophony Daniels (Courter Simmons) will return “Under the ‘C’,” in a fun and inspirational cabaret tribute to Grammy- and Oscar-winning playwright and lyricist Howard Ashman that celebrates the lovable misfit in us all.

Directed by Jonathan Hadley, with music direction by Kyle Branzel, “Under the ‘C’” honors the recent 25th anniversary of Howard Ashman’s death from AIDS-related complications.

Performed only as Cacophony can — in their original keys — featured songs will include some of Ashman’s award-winning standards from Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Little Shop of Horrors, as well as lesser-known gems from Smile, Babe, and Diamonds.

Gerry Geddes of says the show is “Perfection…It was stunning!”

Tickets are $10 in advance at or $15 at the door.

Always the loudest girl in the room, singer, actress, over-the-top drag diva, and nightlife personality Cacophony Daniels has been featured on NBC’s The Mysteries of Laura (The Mystery of the Popped Pugilist), at Broadway Sessions, and in venues throughout New York City. Committed to fighting the HIV/AIDS epidemic, Cacophony is also a volunteer and spokesperson for HIV Smart.
