Update on Yesterday’s Treasures

February 4th, 2008

By Howard Tucker, Jersey Boys Blog Special Correspondent

Jim Petrecca’s “Yesterday’s Treasures” (1265 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083) has now been open for ten months and features so many Jersey Boys and 4 Seasons Collectables. In fact, Jim now has a 4 Seasons wall, which is featured in the picture slide show. Jim and “Yesterday’s Treasures” were originally featured in a JBB Blog Interview in June, 2007.

Jim’s store has picture sleeves of nearly all the 4 Seasons 45 RPM records and most of the albums. He is also the East Coast Distributor of Tommy DeVito’s New CD, “A Man of All Seasons: 1st Season: Summer.”

During the past year, customers have come from as far as England to visit “Yesterday’s Treasures,” just to purchase Jersey Boys and 4 Seasons items. And while the Four Seasons are Jim’s specialty, he doesn’t fall short on the second most popular group of the 1960’s: the Beatles, with collectable rare dolls and records. His 1960’s stock wouldn’t be complete without so many collectable and memorable toys from that era.

Jim also has a lot of other music memorabilia, specially catering to the Baby Boomer generation. His store also has so many sports items and other collectables such as matchbox cars. A prized autograph Jim has for sale is one of President Jimmy Carter.

Finally, with 2008 such a charged political year, his stock of presidential collectables and pins is second to none.

If you need any items to complete your Four Seasons, Jersey Boys, or Beatles collection, drop Jim an e-mail at [email protected], or visit his store, which is a stone’s throw away from the bowling alley that gave the Four Seasons its name!

Please check out Jim’s most recent pictures, including one of his famous Four Seasons Wall.

  3. Jim, Thanks for showing me around yesterday in preparation for the Four Seasons bus tour on February 24. Your store is as much a museum as it is a retail operation.

You were generous to share your extensive personal collection of noteworthy memorabilia that’s always on hand for customers to browse. I was overwhelmed by the history and fond memories you’ve carefully archived.

I can personally vouch for the wonderful experience of being immersed in all the history Jim has to offer!
