Utah Actress Natalie Bradshaw Right At Home as a ‘Jersey Girl’

May 19th, 2008

Ellen Fagg of The Salt Lake Tribune has posted a terrific story on Natalie Bradshaw, from Park City, Utah, who plays Francine, and so many other roles in the Vegas production of Jersey Boys. Fagg talks to Natalie, her mother, and her former theatre director about her dreams, her hard work, and the excitement of being part of a brand new company.

Bradshaw is one of three women in the cast, who together portray 50 women in the lives of the four Jersey singers. In the two-hour show, she has 14 costume changes, 11 in the first act. The stack of her characters’ shoe boxes towers high about the 5-foot 2-inch actor’s head. “And she’s got just as many wigs,” says mother Sharmon Bradshaw, of Park City.

One of Bradshaw’s favorite scenes is belting “My Boyfriend’s Back” as the lead singer for the girl group The Angels. Another highlight is when she and Frankie (Rick Faugno) break into a church so he can practice singing, which leads to the duet of “Sunday Kind of Love.”
