What a Night for Original Four Seasons!

October 14th, 2007

Chicago Tribune entertainment reporter Terry Armour covered Jersey Boys’ opening night at LaSalle Bank Theatre in Chicago tonight. He states that there are two things Frankie Valli could never have dreamed.

First, that a bunch of New Jersey kids would gain worldwide fame as The Four Seasons. And second, that some years later that group would be celebrated with “Jersey Boys,” the Tony Award-winning musical about their lives.

“It’s really hard to imagine that it could have gone this far—that it would have gone this far,” said Valli, now 73. “It would be nice if I could say that I have always imagined this. But this is truly incredible.”

  1. BOB,
I WAS THE BERGENFIELD H.S. STUDENT WHO, FROM POLIO, WALKED WITH A CANE. WE TALKED OFTEN AT LUHMANN’S.
I LISTENED TO YOU HARMONIZE IN THE PARKING LOT MANY TIMES, BOUGHT MANY MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS AND FOLLOWED YOUR CAREER WITH THE FOUR SEASONS.
I LIVE IN ST. LOUIS NEAR CHUCK BERRY, WAS A HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL, NOW I’M A COLLEGE PROFESSOR.
SAW JERSEY BOYS AND IT BROUGHT BACK MANY GREAT MEMORIES.
    CONGRATS FROM AN OLD FRIEND
