Jersey Boys Continues To Rock At Box Office!

For the week ending July 15, 2007, Jersey Boys had another terrific mid-summer box office week, grossing $1,211,053, in addition to having the highest seating capacity at 100.8%!

Total grosses for the week were $18,420,633 for the 27 shows on the boards for the week ending 7/15/07.

  1. And it will continue to break records at the box office because it is the best. The cast effort each night is equivalent to the audience attendance each week – over 100%! IE

  2. I would like to read a story about the seating capacity for each of the top grossing theatres. The August Wilson Theatre seems much smaller than the others. In terms of receipts, I’m not sure Jersey Boys could ever be first unless the shows in the larger theatres become less popular.

  3. If you look on BroadwayWorld.com or Playbill.com, the grosses are listed with great detail. The sizes of the houses, percentages, and average price per ticket. Jersey Boys has been at #1 for percentages (usually at 100.8%, due to selling standing room). And consistantly has the largest average price per sold ticket at $119-$122 per ticket each week. I think of all of the top ten grossing shows, the August Wilson is indeed the smallest house.
