Jersey Boys Rocks Prince Edward Theatre!
June 5th, 2008The Barking and Dangenham Post notes that the expression that first springs to mind when attempting to describe the atmosphere emanating from the stage of the Prince Edward Theatre during Jersey Boys is ‘a rip-roaring good time’.
According to the reviewer, Ryan Molloy as Frankie Valli is amazing, there’s no other word for it. He captures the wonderfully unusual vocal style of the singer perfectly, and delivers a truly believable performance. As do his fellow ‘Seasons’ – Stephen Ashford as Bob Gaudio, Philip Bulcock as Nick Massi and Glenn Carter as Tommy DeVito – each in their own way bringing life and colour to the group, and to the stage.
At one point, following a fantastic solo performance by Ryan Molloy, the applause went on for so long that the actor began to look distinctly embarrassed by all the fuss, although whether this is all part of the act is impossible to say.
The cast receive a standing ovation at the end of the show, thoroughly deserved for their vocal abilities alone. But most of all, what really makes production a cracking show, is that everyone on stage looks like they’re having a bloody good time!
There’s nothing more to add, I am looking forward to seeing the show again but coming a long way from Italy. Hope there will be a second chance for me.

Got to see the show on May 15th and WOW! I would just love to see them again and again. Thank goodness for Videos out there to watch. I even sent them a Thank You letter from here in Houston because I was so excited and impressed. Much love and appreciation to the whole London “Jersey Boys” cast.
