New Jersey Boys Book Titles by Wanda Libardi!

October 25th, 2007

Wanda Libardi

The idea for the covers came about on the Forum, of course. Irene and I, along with several others, were joking around about things we could give the cast, in a “roast” kind of fashion, using dialogue from the show. I started with the idea of books and then suddenly realized, how the hell was I going to get all these books from the Berkshires to NYC? I knew I couldn’t carry them on the train. So, I decided, in this age of computers, how about cd’s?? “And why not?” So, on the 21st, I started my three-hour ride to the city! Off I went to the train station with 15 cd’s “For Dummies” in my bag, along with some other things for the cast and OH WHAT A NIGHT —- THE WHOLE WORLD EXPLODED for all of us fans!

  3. It was fun to see the look on the cast member’s faces as their turn came up . . . you could tell they enjoyed the roasting, and they especially took pleasure at the expense of their colleagues. Of course they realized, as we all did, that this was all in good fun. Wanda, thanks for adding to the humor of the evening! I got some great pictures of the JB laughing at the jokes. I’ll post them soon.

  6. Wanda & Irene: That was the funniest and most inventive presentation I’ve ever witnessed! I hope you patent it, trademark it, or whatever the f”*k ya call it…..

Every single cast member, VIP’s and the fans especially loved it! Besides the exciting auction, meeting all the great people that make “Jersey Boys” a common household/workplace word now, the presentations and speeches really made for an excellent evening!

    Thanks again!

  8. Wanda,
    I LOVE IT!!!

What a great idea this was. I am glad this was posted because I must of missed this part when I was with you all on Sunday. I don’t remember where I was when you presented the cast with these C.D.’s. Probably running my mouth with another JB fan.
I am sure the cast loved this gift.

  9. Looking back, we all had fun for several nights on the blog conjuring up the ideas for these books. Of course the real enjoyment was being there when Wanda presented them! Thanks to Wanda’s great ingenuity and style, it provided fabulous entertainment for this “Oh What a Night!” tribute to our beloved Jersey Boys cast.
