Newsflash: Matthew Scott Leaves Jersey Boys for New Show!

On his news page today, Matthew Scott reports that he will be leaving Jersey Boys at the end of August; his last show will be August 26. He will be joining the company of A Catered Affair, which is going to play the Old Globe in San Diego before arriving on Broadway next spring. In addition to Matthew, the cast includes Harvey Fierstein, Faith Prince, Tom Wopat, Leslie Kritzer, and Matt Cavenaugh.

Although we’re sad to see Matthew leave Jersey Boys, Jersey Boys Blog wishes him all the best with his new, exciting production!

  2. Matt, my very best wishes go with you. In addition to the esteemed cast above, you’ll be working with the talented and funny Kristine Zbornik. Can’t wait to see what Harvey has done with the Paddy Chayevsky play and Gore Vidal movie starring Bette Davis.

    Now, if someone decides to remake “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?” as a musical, I just can’t picture you in the Victor Buono role…(hmmmmm……)

  3. Matt you are such a great talent and also such a nice person. You are moving onward and upward which is great for you. You will be sorely missed by all the fans and I’m sure the crew. But all our good wishes go with you in all of your future endeavors.
