  1. Like most Four Seasons Fans we were shocked and saddened to learn Joe Long of the Four Seasons, was not inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum with the other members of the group. He was not inducted because of some minor technicality. We are working to correct this and have Mr. Long join his band mates in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

As noted on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame website website, “in addition to Gaudio and Valli, The Four Seasons definitive lineup included singer/guitarist Tommy DeVito and bass vocalist/vocal arranger Nick Massi (later replaced by Joe Long). “ Yet, Joe Long is currently the only member of the “definitive lineup” not inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I is my hope that Mr. Joe Long be considered for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along side his fellow band members in The Four Seasons. His accomplishments and contributions to The Four Seasons original sound is well known to musicians and fans alike.

Please take a moment to review his contributions to The Four Seasons, and if you feel as I and many of the bands fans, that Joe Long should be inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with the other Four Seasons, then please forward his name for nomination.

You can view a blog dedicated to having Joe Long inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame at:

    Thank you for your support!

  2. I could not agree more! As a life long 4 Seasons fan it was Joe Long that was the groups main bass player. Of course he should be in the rock and roll hall of fame with the otehr members of the 4 seasons.

    You need to contact:

  3. Joe Long, although he was a fine member of The Four Seasons, SHOULD NOT be me inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Why? BECAUSE HE WASN’T AN ORIGINAL MEMBER.

Sure, Long was around for ten years, whereas Nick Massi was around from ’62 – ’65, but Massi was there at the creation of The Four Seasons.

Do you notice how the group did not have a single number-one hit with Long has bass-player? When Massi was around, the group had FOUR #1 hits.

  4. I agree with CLS.(The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame did the right thing. They wanted the ORIGINAL Four Seasons, that is what made them famous.Joe Long was good ,but not the original! If he were to get into the Hall Of Fame, every person that has been with Frankie Valli would be in the Hall also. Many Seasons have come & gone.
