Photo/Video Flashback: Fans Say Goodbye to Jeff Leibow & Deven May at Jersey Boys Las Vegas, 11/23/14

December 1st, 2014

Hope Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, along with Bob Gaudio, Judy Parker, and the late Bob Crewe won’t mind if I use some of the greatest lines from a certain show and lyrics from the greatest songs of all time, but it’s the only way I can capture the evening of Sunday, November 23, 2014–as Jeff Leibow performed for the final time as Nick Massi and Deven May said goodbye to the role of Tommy DeVito in JERSEY BOYS Las Vegas.

Sometimes it just clicks with people–and the audience has always clicked with Jeff and Deven in their respective roles on stage! Last Sunday night, in particular, the audience not only clicked, the place came apart, just like at the Roostertail!

I’m certain everyone in the audience was asking, “Why does everybody leave?”

Shout-outs not only to Jeff and Deven, on their final fantastic performance, but major kudos to the entire JB Vegas cast on taking the audience on a roller coaster ride of emotions, memories, and of course, the music!

They ask us, what was the high point–the constant interruptions of applause; the standing ovations after “Walk Like A Man,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” and the “Who Loves You” finale…It was all great, but look at me, I’m tearing up–thinking back to that magical evening…

I’d like to work my way back to the second row of the Paris Theatre, walk like a man, fast as I can, and relive that night one more time. As I recall it ended much too soon!

All the best to Jeff Leibow & Deven May in their new endeavors!
