The Success of Frankie Valli

June 21st, 2008

Robyn Flans of AmericanProfile.com has a terrific in-depth interview with pop icon Frankie Valli, who talks about his early days, his phenomenal string of hits, and the blockbuster hit Jersey Boys.

“I am very thankful for my audience,” says Valli, who’s seen a tremendous upsurge in his concert attendance as Jersey Boys continues to spur interest and fans seek out the man who sang the hits before they became rousing Broadway showstoppers. “Some performers act as though the audience owes them something. It’s really the other way around. You have to be grateful for all the good things.”

  1. I was a “Four Seasons” and Frankie Valli fan from the beginning of their history. I am so pleased that Frankie is still going strong, “Like that bunny on TV”. Hopefully I will get to see him in person soon. Congrats to Frankie on a stellar career.

  3. Excellent interview with Frankie! I’m glad to have have watched two of his concerts with one in the 70′s, another concert in SF last October and another upcoming concert in Santa Rosa, CA this August. Also, meeting him in person with the Original Four Seasons combined with the entire Jersey Boys Broadway cast was the ultimate for any Four Seasons/JB fan. Seeing Frankie and John Lloyd Young sit next to each other signing autographs, chatting with us and fulfilling requests for photos was a great experience!

His past role in The Sopranos, in addition to his appearing at Jersey Boys premieres, concert stops plus getting Jersey Boys off the ground definitely defines him as similar to the “Energizer Bunny” because all of these events occurred almost at the same time!

As time goes on, his popularity skyrockets and hopefully we’ll be able to see him cast in the Jersey Boys movie, when it does come to fruition…..
