Update on Daniel Reichard’s August Concert!
July 3rd, 2007As reported earlier, Daniel Reichard will appear in his own concert entitled “Summer Mix Tape” at Joe’s Pub on Sunday August 12 at 9:30PM.
Here’s more from BroadwayWorld.com: According to press materials “Summer Mix Tape” is a “mini-tribute to the making of mix tapes which truly climaxed in America in the late 1980s. The songs are classic rock. The stories are nostalgic, humiliating reminiscences of a childhood spent being the eighth of nine children. Accompanied by a fabulous rock band, Reichard will sing some classics and lead the audience in a true celebration of summer music. Reichard will be joined on-stage by Lauren Pritchard from Spring Awakening, Kelly Kinsella and others.”

I so wish I could be up in NY for this concert. Daniel has an awesome voice and personality to match. I know it will be a fun night!

Not to worry, Catherine. A reliable source informs me that JBB Special Correspondent Extraordinaire, Audrey Rockman, will be present at the Daniel Reichard extravaganza; perhaps we can persuade her to pen one of her classically informative and fascinating reviews.
But to quote Tommy DeVito, “Everyone sees things as they need to….but here’s the facts…” So, Catherine, yours truly will also be on hand to make sure the facts are throughly and objectively presented by Special Correspondent Rockman! (“She reports…..you decide!!”)
You are right on both parts re Daniel’s voice and personality, and I’ll add a third one….gratitude. In fact, I’ve now stolen Daniel’s patented “Thank you SOOOOOOO much” as he bids each of his audience good night!
I also hear Daniel’s parents may be there. I’m sure they are SOOOOOOO proud of this wonderful young man!
