JLY’s Recording on NBC TONIGHT!
July 4th, 2007Playbill.com reports that NBC-TV broadcasts its annual “Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular” beginning at 9 PM ET TONIGHT!
Although viewers will not see him, the voice of Tony Award winner John Lloyd Young will be heard as the fireworks are exploding in the background. We’ll be hearing JLY’s recording of “What a Wonderful World,†with arrangements by Ron Melrose and orchestrations by Steve Orich.

I heard it and John did a beautiful job! I remembered just a few minutes before his song was played, so glad I did!

He did a wonderful rendition of What A Wonderful World. He sounded terrific. What a privledge to have your song as a background to fireworks that is nationally televised.
