January 12th, 2006

Jesse Hiestand from Backstage.com reports that Jersey Boys co-author Marshall Brickman will receive the Writers Guild of America (WGA) East’s Ian McLellan Hunter Award for lifetime achievement in writing. Brickman, who has written for film, television, and theater, will be honored at the guild’s annual award dinner on February 4. His first venture in live theater was the “surprise” Broadway hit musical Jersey Boys, which he co-authored with writing partner Rick Elice.
