Rendition of Rag Doll by The Gone Jackals, 1990! #RagDoll52
July 20th, 2016
In honor of Rag Doll by The Four Seasons topping the charts this week in 1964, here’s another rendition of this amazing Bob Gaudio-Bob Crewe masterpiece by The Gone Jackals in 1990! For details on what inspired Keith Karloff to record the song, check out his YouTube channel.
Truth is, I had never heard about this band or this Rag Doll rendition until stumbling upon it last night and I think these guys did a great job on making it their own!
What do you guys think of this rendition?
Very well done and thanks so much for posting!

The Gone Jackals did a very admirable job on “RAG DOLL.”

I have never heard anyone else perform Rag Doll except Frankie Valli. (And the Jersey Boys cast, of course).
I enjoyed listening to this version, as I love the song.
However, I still prefer the original.

Interesting version but of course entirely different from the original that keeps it fresh which is another way to enjoy this song.Other artist”s that remade this include Del Shannon,The 5 Tops,Joe Brooks which happens to be one of the best romantic versions I ever heard. Also want to include artist”s such as Franz Lambert, the Tremelos, and quite a few others.
