Great photo (and great outfits, right?!) of Frankie Valli and bass player extraordinaire Joe Long at Monicello Raceway in the summer of 1974!
Wow, this was a few months before “My Eyes Adored You” was released! For those of you who had the opportunity to see the Seasons in concert during this time, we’d love to hear some stories!
It was around 1969-70 I saw what I still to this day consider the best concert of my life. A double bill on a Sunday afternoon at Lowell Technical Institute in Lowell Mass. The Lovin Spoonfull opened the show with their tie dyed t-shirts and construction boots, they sang for 2 hrs. then a short break and out came the 4 Seasons. They were amazing, in black tuxedos and then blue suits. I have seen The 4 Seasons many times in my life but that show always stuck out as my favorite. They had an amazing drummer and perfect harmonies. And of course Frankie Valli was spectacular.
