Bob Crewe Photo Flashback #BobCreweDay

September 13th, 2014

Since the announcement of Bob Crewe’s passing, journalists, pop music critics, colleagues, musicians, and fans have posted so many wonderful tributes honoring his legacy.

On tonight’s NBC News, as Brian Williams announced the sad news that Crewe was no longer with us, I couldn’t help but notice his smile as he named several of the big hits that Crewe had written or produced (including hits for Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Oliver, and LaBelle). Williams then commented that Crewe made the world a better place!

There is really no better way to put it: Bob Crewe definitely made the world a better place with his brilliant contributions to the pop music world for nearly 60 years! The stars will continue to be in alignment every time a Crewe record is played and he will never be forgotten!

For each and every actor who is playing (or has played) Bob Crewe in JERSEY BOYS, thank you for bringing his life to the stage and for continuing to keep the memory of him alive for years to come!
