JB Natl Tour Plays Durham Tonight through 4/12; Check Out Sneak Peek of Interview with @DrewSeeley!

April 7th, 2015

JERSEY BOYS begins a second run at the Durham Performing Arts Center tonight through April 12. Check out a sneak peek below:

Drew Seeley plays Bob Gaudio in the current tour. He spoke with The Herald-Sun by phone during the week off the cast had during the nine-month tour.

Seeley joined the “Jersey Boys” tour in October and will be part of it through its run in Japan this summer. The show is so much fun, he said. He saw it in Las Vegas three years ago and loved it.

“I connect with my character in the show, Bob, as I’m a songwriter myself. He doesn’t need to be in the spotlight…but he has that moment,” he said. Seeley feels he’s also that laid back guy who loves doing both — writing and performing.

As a singer and songwriter, Seeley has been releasing a new song every month this year.

“I’m releasing my own stuff and writing for other artists,” he said.

Seeley credits the decade-long success of the “Jersey Boys” musical to the incredible story, great music and seeing what they went through. He already heard a lot of the Four Seasons’ songs, as his parents played their music.

“Everything is so catchy — melodies get stuck in your head,” he said.
