Jersey Boys Blog Tops 2,002,614 Pages Served
May 19th, 2008It could happen. It DID happen!
Jersey Boys Blog has served up over two million pages to the greatest fans of one of the most phenomenal shows of all time, my hand to God. But if you want the whole story, you have to begin at the beginning, La Jolla, CA 2004 and the Blog Half leans over to the Tech Half at intermission and says “this show is going to win a Tony.” How right she was. Susie even predicted Christian Hoff ‘s Tony that night after the show. Little did we know how big Jersey Boys would become and all the fantastic people we would have the opportunity to meet.
The Blog has grown with the show as well, to include a forum, polls, exclusive interviews and a social network. Just like that bunny on TV with the battery, we plan to just keep going and going and going.
But how can we make it better? Is the Blog ready for a new design or “if it ain’t broke why fix it”?
It’s been a while since we have had an instant poll, so you decide? Should JBB update to a new magazine style layout with bigger pages and more graphics, or have you grown comfortable with the familiarity of the existing design and would prefer it remain the same?
Thank you for reading The Blog and contrary to popular belief, Tommy DeVito did not get thrown out of Harrah’s last week.

Susie and Dale, My heartfelt thanks and appreciation for all you do! You are so dedicated to the JBB and bring us all the latest info and allow us to share our JB moments with each other. I am so happy that I found the blog. I have made some wonderful friends and the free exchange of ideas and information is always helpful to me on many levels.I am happy to be included even though I live in Texas! Thank you Dale and Susie. I look forward to meeting you in person some day soon.

You have both done an amazing job in creating and running the fabulous Jersey Boys Blog. Thank you for all your efforts in providing information and keeping the fans united and a true family. It was a privelege to meet both of you last month in Vegas. Hope you’ll make another trip to NY soon!

To say we’ve become a family is an understatement. Not only have I met many of the “Jersey Boys†principals, but I’ve been fortunate enough to count so many fellow Bloggers among my closest friends. And so many of us enhance the Blog and the Bulletin Board thorough our postings and comments–all of us of varying ages, genders, occupations, and backgrounds. Never too old, never too young, as they say.
Not only do you give us new posts every day, Susie and Dale, but if it weren’t for you, we may have never have seen all the multi-talents of the “Jersey Boys” cast. Would we have known about Daniel Reichard’s and Jennifer Naimo’s wonderful cabaret shows? Would we have heard Christian Hoff’s 241 voices in his audiobook, “Tell Me How You Love the Picture?” Would we have heard the marvelous cover by Travis Cloer of Dan Fogelberg’s “Same Auld Lang Syne”? Or the haunting lyrics of “Jill” by Michael Longoria? Or Danielle Gaudio’s wonderfully produced “Jersey Babys” CD? (Danielle, we more ‘mature’ folk are checking every day for the release of “Jersey Seniors”.) The list goes on and on.
While no one is keeping score, Susie and Dale, I am thrilled that your work has been acknowledged by Dodger Theatricals and Gordon Kelly via your invites to the openings in LA and Las Vegas.
Finally, to the Tech Half re the Tommy DeVito Harrah’s line–where did the wonderful comedic stuff come from all of a sudden?? You’re not auditioning to replace Stewie Stone on Frankie’s road show, are you???

Two million large (but not ‘in the hole’). What’s the vig on that? At an average of over 200 hits a day IF you include all those months before the show even opened…one can tell that the vig is pretty darn HIGH for the Jersey Boys Blog!!
Those listed things that you’ve expanded to include, doesn’t even take into account the friendships, fan gatherings, ticket sales, flights, sold-out smaller venues, (bus tours!) and much, much more that never would have happened without the JBB. Howard was right-I, for one, would be in the dark without your daily reporting.
This is where so many gather- most of whom never post a comment, but visit religiously, nevertheless. Those seats at the top of your website say…come sit awhile and visit, read, shmooze, learn and share.
This poll question is a tough one…maybe stay just a little bit longer or, if things work out, do we talk about a whole [magazine] section.

Much of what I feel about JBB and the two of you has been said, and quite well, but let me add just a bit. I have met some special friends through this outlet (including the Blog and Tech halves of JBB!) and have enjoyed some wonderful experiences because of your hard work. Because of info posted on this blog, I’ve had the chance to see the Jersey Boys and select cast members at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, cabarets, the plaza of “The Today Show” and numerous events around NYC such as “Rockers on Broadway.” I’ve participated in Audrey’s “Four Seasons Bus Tour, the Winter version” and visited Jim Petrucca’s Timeless Treasures shop. And I’ve been privileged to attend Irene’s PLAN which developed into the Jersey Boys Fans Gala Event in NYC in October benefitting BC/EFA…an occasion in which I met Susie and Dale, visited with the OBC of JB, and met Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. So much of the planning of these events…travel schedules, meeting up with friends, dinners, lunches, and other information…was shared through the Forum. You have truly allowed our lives to intersect and connect technically, and more importantly, you have given us a venue to connect emotionally. We share experiences, stories, photos, feelings and a whole lot of laughter when we meet here on the BLOG. And for that I thank you both!

This blog is the best. What a great way to honor the long career of Frankie Valli/Four Seasons including anyone that has been associated with Bob Gaudio and Frankie Valli such as Bob Crewe, Charlie Callelo and many others. We all saw what many critics over the years never appreciated “Pure Talent”.
That is why this wonderful music holds up today.
