The JERSEY BOYS first national tour plays Vancouver tonight through September 23 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancover! Stuart Derdeyn of The Province has a fun feature with Nick Cosgove. Check out a preview below:

Nick Cosgrove plays soaring falsetto Frankie Valli. He had to go to “Frankie Camp” first.

“Picture this, there are 20 short little Italian looking dudes who all get together for a three day intensive that begins with the basic dance and singing tests,” says Cosgrove. “Then they narrow it down to 10. Each of us to heads into serious sessions with legendary vocal coach Katie Agresta on Day 1. She is there for us during the whole tour too taking Skype calls to run us through exercise and so on. Day 2 is scene and production work. Day 3 is choreography. We do group and individual sessions each day.”

  1. Hi there I have to comment ..I attended the Jersey Boys Sept 6th ..and WOW that is some singing Nick Cosgrove performs.. His dancing and acting the part is tremedous.. He had me bouncing in my seat with memories of Frankie Valli (with an i not a y) too funny.. The stage performance of the whole cast was exquisite..I honestly didn’t want it to end.. and I am somewhat critical of my 60′s music and don’t want it butchered.. not this troop.. excellent and wish I could go every night.. fun, fun, fun… cheers
