August 28th, 2006

Market Wire reports that BMI, the U.S. performing right organization, this week posted revenues of more than $779 million for its fiscal year 2005-2006, which ended June 30.

In addition to highlighting BMI’s revenues, the article pays tribute to the more than 300,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers that the company represents, in addition to the BMI film and television composers that enjoyed impressive success over the past year.

Additionally, the press release noted that Broadway celebrated the music of BMI songwriters with the multiple Tony-winning hit, Jersey Boys.
