With only a few days left in 2008, entertainment reporters are highlighting the best shows of the year. No surprise, in two of today’s papers, JERSEY BOYS rocks!
Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Mike Weatherford states that JERSEY BOYS is the Broadway hit that works in Vegas!
1. “JERSEY BOYS” — Las Vegas is a land of exile for Tommy DeVito, the black sheep member of Frankie Valli’s Four Seasons. But the group’s crowd-pleasing “Behind the Music” bio at the Palazzo fits the heart and soul of the Strip better than any Broadway hit tried here: Sometimes you get lucky. Sometimes the little guy wins.
Visit Las Vegas Review-Journal to see what other shows made Weatherford’s list.
In the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Theatre Critic Judith Newmark awarded JERSEY BOYS a 2008 Judy Award for Best Musical (new style, new sound)! Written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, music by Bob Gaudio; directed by Des McAnuff; Fox Theatre
Also on the same list, Newmark awarded the Best Couple Judy Award to former JB cast member Christopher Kale Jones and his wife Jenna Coker-Jones, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” Stages St. Louis.
Congratulations to JERSEY BOYS!
Unbelievably after three years of “JB” on Broadway, it just keeps getting better and better all around the world.
Congratulations again to all the casts of “JB” …

Every year, bigger and better…like that bunny on TV….
Congrats all. Especially proud and happy for Chris Kale and Jenna Coker Jones, a super talented couple. Can’t wait for their next project together. (Don’t let Jenna’s height fool you….she’s got a voice that would put Merman to shame!!!)
