Jersey Boys Remains in Millionaire’s Club at Broadway Box Office for Week Ending 12/2/12
December 9th, 2012For the week ending December 2, 2012, JERSEY BOYS remained in the millionaire’s club on Broadway, grossing $1,018,387 and had a 89.5% attendance rate. The 33 shows on the board grossed $22,154,855, down 20.4% from the previous week’s big holiday totals.

I have been a fan of the Four Seasons since I heard them back in early ’60′s and I was so looking forward to bringing my 7 year old granddaughter to the musical when it came to Memphis, TN. I wanted to expose her to the culture of music that I grew up with, so we paid almost $300 for 3 tickets, my wife is a huge fan as well, and were so excited when the day came to see the Jersey Boys….Well when the curtain open and the musical started, you cannot imagine my horror when the most foul language that could ever come out of one’s mouth assaulted the ears of us and our 7 year old!!!!!!!!!! We were not warned by the theater, and many of the theater staff saw us come in with her, that the show was R rated. When I complained, the staff said it was on their website, and just sorry about that! The terrible thing was that it lent NOTHING to the show, I sat in the basement of the theater while I told my wife she could stay because of her love for The Four Seasons. This has really hurt my view of Frankie Valli if he endorses this kind of production supposing to tell his life story. I am NOT a prude and have been through the military, so being exposed to the language would not been that offense to me but WOW, talk about a surprise. Well, had to get my say. I know no one will probably read this and if they do will blow it off and a nut case but I would hope that at least they could come up with a version that young people could truly appreciate. I know your one of the top drawing musicals and MONEY is everything now days. I wish your cast the best….
