Jersey Boys ROCK Today Show!

January 6th, 2006

Hope everyone had a chance to see the Jersey Boys cast on the Today Show this morning! WOW! In addition to hearing the great songs from the Broadway hit, Christian Hoff, Daniel Reichard, J. Robert Spencer, and John Lloyd Young serenaded Katie Couric with “Happy Birthday” greetings! Katie Couric also spoke briefly to legendary singer Frankie Valli about the success of Jersey Boys.

In case you missed it (or would like to see a repeat performance), check out the GILG fan site for the video!

  1. It was fabulous! I’ve never seen an entertainment act get so much time on the Today show. I particularly liked the a cappella version Of Rag Doll. And the three Jersey Girls got to do their song for the first time on TV. Cheers, Charles

  2. Thanks to GILG for putting it on their web site so we all could see it. If there ever was a 4 Seasons’ song that was a candidate for a capella treatment it is Rag Doll. With all the publicity surrounding the play, perhaps now is the time for a single a capella release of “Rag Doll” by the “Jersey Boys.” Wasn’t there a similar treatment given to “In The Still of The Night” a few years ago by a new group (whose name escapes me). Perhaps the GILG folks can use their influence to get the ear of Mr. Gaudio in this regard.
