Last Week’s Broadway Grosses: Jersey Boys Soars to Number Four

According to Variety’s Gordon Cox, Broadway’s midwinter blues don’t seem so blue this year! Box office totals rose some $700,000 over the previous week, bringing in $14,846,423 for 26 shows on the boards.

To no one’s big surprise, Jersey Boys continued to bring ‘em in at the box office! For the week ending 1/29/06, Broadwayworld.com reports that Jersey Boys was Number 4 out of 26 shows on the boards, grossing $887,986, with 9,300 seats sold.

Below are the Top 10 Broadway grosses for Week 35:

  1. Wicked: $1,345,750
  2. Spamalot: $995,424
  3. The Lion King: $977,210
  4. Jersey Boys: $887,986
  5. Mama Mia!: $871,807
  6. The Color Purple: $866,469
  7. The Odd Couple: $840,040
  8. The Phantom of the Opera: $642,565
  9. Dirty Rotten Scondrels: $602,693
  10. The Producers: $600,533
