Michael Longoria-From High School Musicals to Broadway!

In this week’s USA Weekend, they rounded up some of today’s biggest Broadway names to talk about their high school musical experiences, One of the Broadway stars they checked in with was Michael Longoria!
According to blogger Lorrie Lynch, Michael was a bit of an outsider before he transferred to an arts school (Los Angeles County School for the Arts, — Class of ’98). Now, he wins hearts nightly portraying Frankie Valli, but where he comes from it was taboo to be a guy interested in theater.
Michael said, “It’s so unfortunate that so much of the world is still so ignorant in that aspect. I went from being somebody who people looked at weirdly because I was in the arts to going to a school where I was one of the most popular kids.” He quickly fell in love with grabbing an audience’s emotions while on stage in such shows as West Side Story and A Chorus Line. “There’s something about being able to portray somebody else …that is always attractive to a teenager, a person who’s trying to figure out who they are.â€
just recently saw michael in jersey boys on broadway. what talent. amazing. i am hoping he becomes a smash success off broadway as well. i hope he is gay as he is hot hot hot. we have the exact hair and eyes.

I’ve seen Michael in Jersey Boys three times now, just on September 27th (his second to last performance) and he was absolute perfection. So sad to see him go but I know he’ll go on to an amazing career. Hope to see him again. Have a great birthday this Wed. Michael!
