Pal Joey Previews Starring Christian Hoff Begin Tonight!

November 14th, 2008

Christian Hoff

This is the day many Christian Hoff fans have been waiting for! Tonight, November 14, Pal Joey previews begin at Studio 54! Here’s a preview of Christian’s EXCLUSIVE interview with Catherine of PalJoeyBlog.com:

PJblog: How has the transition been from Jersey Boys to Pal Joey? Has your experience portraying Tommy DeVito been helpful in making that transition?

CH: The transition has been seamless. My overlapping of these two productions has allowed me to transfer my artistic adrenaline into another character. Yes, my portrayal of a real life “bad boy” has helped me with a more human perspective with regard to the bad boy icon Joey Evans.

  2. I recently posted some thoughts on the opening night of Pal Joey this past Friday on the Pal Joey Blog (www.paljoeyblog.com). Here is the link:

In short, Christian was so successful in making anti-hero Joey Evans a sensual, although crafty, leading man. His dancing on the staircase was reminiscent of Fred Astaire’s and the duets with his leading ladies Stockard Channing and Jenny Fellner were marvelous and touching. Martha Plimpton had wonderful comic timing and brought the house down with the hilarious song “Zip”.

This was such an enjoyable experience. Please check the link above to the Pal Joey Blog for some more detailed thoughts.

  3. Saw Christian Hoff in Jersey boys twice and loved it so much. He is the most incredible actor.
Saw Pal Joey in NY last Sunday and he was the BEST.
I can’t believe the show is running for such a short time. Will you please keep me posted as to what he will be doing next. I LOVE HIM. MR. BROADWAY…..

    GO HOFF
